平成２１年１１月７日（土）市内小学校１０チームの中から予選を勝ち抜いた６チームが参加して「小学生料理コンテスト」の決勝大会が行われ、旬の食材を使った自分たちで考えた献立の料理を作り、優勝・準優勝やアイデア賞・チームワーク賞等が贈られた。
